The Mission of Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Charities (AHCDC) is to support organizations providing comprehensive dental services to underserved and uninsured patients. The largest provider in the southwest Virginia region is Mission Dental Virginia – an organization we support with philanthropic grant writing for much-needed projects in southwest Virginia, a dental desert. Oral care is healthcare. We must ensure our region has adequate access to a range of dental services from cleanings to dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures.
